Qatar on Monday confirmed its wish to host the Olympics in The summer of 2032, joining a group of countries interested in organizing this ancient sporting event, knowing that the wealthy emirate is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Finals in 2022.

India and Queensland in Australia and Shanghai China wish to submit applications for the Olympic Games in 2032, in addition to a file A possible joint between the capitals of South and North Korea, Seoul and Pyongyang.

The 2021 version will be held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, after it was postponed for a year due to the new Corona virus «Covid-19», with the versions 2024 and 2028 being in Paris and Los Angeles, respectively.

Under the changes introduced in 2014, interested countries submitted an application to join a non-binding dialogue for candidacy, which Qatar confirmed that it had made through a letter to the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne.

The President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, said in a statement: Today's announcement marks the beginning of a meaningful dialogue with the commission investigating the host countries of the International Olympic Committee to show our greater interest and determine how the Olympic Games can support Qatar's long-term development goals.

He added in Thani’s tweet: Five pillars on which Qatar’s desire to host one of the upcoming versions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games starts from 2032, which is the sport infrastructure, civilized renaissance, strong experience and prestige in the global peace community and the aspiration for a more prosperous future.

Qatar unsuccessfully attempted to host the 2016 and 2020 games and proposed to organize it in October without first confirming it with the International Olympic Committee.

While the Tokyo session was postponed to 2021, the high temperatures in the Japanese capital prompted the organizers to reschedule the dates of the competitions to start in the morning.

Temperatures may be an obstacle for Qatar, where summer temperatures reach about 50 degrees Celsius. The World Cup soccer tournament, which has been marred by accusations of corruption and ill-treatment of workers, which was denied by Doha, will be held in November and December 2022 instead of summer due to the hot weather.

"Qatar has earned its reputation as a world-class destination for major sporting events," said Sheikh Joaan, brother of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This track record and rich experience ... along with our desire to use sport to promote peace and cultural exchange, will form the basis of dialogue with the Committee.

Qatar recently announced its desire to host the 2027 AFC Asian Cup for the third time, and the 2030 Asian Games for the second time after hosting it for the first time in 2006.

Qatar will host the AFC Champions League in the next stage through the semi-final system from September 14 to October 3, and the Cup World Clubs in December 2020, and the Arab Cup in November and December 2021.

Last September, Qatar organized the seventeenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, during which photos of athletes showing fatigue due to the hot weather emerged.

Last Friday, German President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach said in an interview: We are pleased with the great interest in the 2032 Summer Olympic Games 12 years before its launch.

Speaking to the Qatar Sports Network (BN Sport), he added, "We launched a dialogue between the interested National Olympic Committees and a special committee in the International Olympic Committee. Of course, we welcome Qatar to join this dialogue."

If Qatar succeeds in winning, it will be the first time that the sporting event has been held in the Middle East, as is the case for the 2022 World Cup.
