Italian press reports revealed that Lazio entered into talks with veteran Spanish star David Silva, Manchester City playmaker, who was available to move to a new club in a free transfer.

"Footballball Italy" network reported that Silva had dinner with the sports director of the Lazio Igli Tarri club, during which he talked about the possibility of his transfer to the Italian capital team starting from the new season.

The 34-year-old ended his contract at the end of last season after 10 years in Manchester City.

Silva scored six goals and made 11 others during 38 games in all competitions this season, as he was linked to the move to the young people of Dubai's Emirati Dubai.

There are also options for Silva to move to the American League via Inter Miami, or to return to his old club Valencia.

Lazio is participating in the Champions League season after being confirmed as being in the top four in the Italian League this season, and he was a strong contender for the title with Juventus before the latter decided him.
