China launched today, 3 satellites, aboard a Long March-4B carrier rocket from the Taiwan satellite launch center in north China's Shanxi Province.

The Taiwan Satellite Launch Center said in a statement today that the carrier rocket was launched at 11:13 am Beijing time, and that one of the satellites (Ziyuan -3) would be used for high-resolution mapping.

The center added that the other two satellites will be used to monitor dark matter in space and collect commercial data, while the three satellites have successfully entered their predetermined orbits.
