A high school and primary school in southwestern Sydney were closed after three students were diagnosed with Covid-19, while New South Wales registered 12 new cases, the Australian News Agency reported.
The two schools were closed today, Tuesday, for the purpose of deep cleaning and tracking of contacts of patients, and students were advised to self-isolate.
The Bunerej High School announced on its website on Monday night that all students will start learning from home starting on Tuesday.
Also, "Greenway Park" public school announced that pupils will learn from their homes after discovering two HIV infections among the pupils, and that more advice will be provided today, Tuesday.
New South Wales has recorded 12 new cases of Covid-19 out of 12,876 people who were examined within 24 hours ending at 8 pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, New South Wales Prime Minister Gladys Perigelian warned that New South Wales could tighten border controls with Victoria, saying: "If we have to do more, we will."
