Brazil's Ministry of Health data showed a new record set for daily infections and deaths from corona virus today, with new infections reaching 70074 and 1595 deaths.

According to ministry figures, Brazil has so far recorded more than 2.5 million confirmed cases of the virus and 90,134 deaths since the outbreak in the country.

The head of the Russian Fund for Direct Investment Kirill Dmitriyev announced that his country is negotiating with Brazilian laboratories on the production of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus there.

"The bulk of the Brazilian population can be vaccinated already this year if we can strike an agreement with Brazilian manufacturers," Dmitriyev said in a press statement, referring to negotiating with both private and public laboratories in Brazil.

He added: "The Brazilian partners are interested in conducting clinical trials and producing anti-coronavirus drugs."
He continued: "If these negotiations with Brazil fail, Russia will study the possibility of cooperation in this regard with other countries of the region," noting that Brazil can produce tens of millions of doses, including for Latin American countries.
The Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, is back in business as usual after the new fourth test, to detect the Corona virus, has been proven free of infection.

According to Russia Today, the first three tests were positive, but on Saturday 25 July, Bolsonaro reported that the last test was negative. After that, he was seen moving around Brasilia on a motorcycle without a muzzle.
