Russian Defense Minister: The army received 16 aircraft, 53 helicopters and 80 drones

The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, announced that in the first half of this year, the Russian armed forces received 16 aircraft, 53 helicopters, 80 drones and 5 warships.

"More than 1,100 basic types of weapons and military and special equipment have been handed over to the armed forces," Shoigu said in a statement, at the opening of the event on the day Russia received military products.

The Russian Defense Minister added: "Despite the outbreak of the emerging Corona virus and the restrictions associated with it, the military industry has implemented reservations of the Ministry of Defense."

He explained that among the weapons and military equipment received by the Russian army were 16 aircraft of various classes, 53 helicopters, 80 drones and 5 combat ships, including the nuclear submarine "Prince Vladimir", the frigate "Admiral Kasatunov" and the large landing ship "Ulynigorsky Juzerniak".

Shoigu indicated that engineering equipment, cars, communications equipment, aircraft and ammunition weapons are supplied to the armed forces according to the plans laid down.
